As a trained opera singer and student of sound yoga I want to help you find your true authentic voice.
We often grow up using our voice to please others, or are too afraid to speak up and share our true selves. We often use our voice in desperation when it is too late, or to scream because we feel no one is listening. Or we don't use our voice at all, and stay silent. All of this brings on feelings of shame and anxiety. This is not anyone's fault; but it is the result of our societal and tribal upbringings. We simply learn to survive based on our surroundings, and in order to do that we sometimes and often push our authentic self down enough in order to function within the parameters we were given. Learning to express ourselves from the heart, and finding our true voice is absolutely life-changing.
We all have a natural tone and voice that is truly ours, and it is one of the most powerful tools to heal our body, heart, and mind. We just need to know how to use it to share our power instead of using it to give away our power.
Through the art of chanting, breathing exercises, and different sound tones, I will share practices to help you find the true tone of your voice, and also how to use your voice to communicate authentically and honestly so that you can step into your future with confidence and truth!
The voice is also an amazing healing instrument for both your body and your mind. When we use our voice to heal it creates vibrations within our body, our organs, our blood, our DNA! With a set intention and the vibration of a simple hum, one can already start changing the energy centers of the body and simply live a more fullied life that flows effortlessly.
Sound Yoga uses mantras and chanting as a means to connect to your higher self, and deeply heal both mental and physical issues within the mind and body .
With or without associated asanas, Sound Yoga allows for a full mind-body connection and can deepen your already exisiting yoga practice.
Never done yoga? Not a problem! All you need is your voice to participate in a Sound Yoga session. Thankfully, we all have one, and can use it anytime.
During a private session, either in person or on video chat, I will take some time to get to know you and where you are in your current life. We will discuss your goals. We will also discuss any blocks you may feel you have had or currently have in your life.
You may also have physical issues in the body such as trouble with digestion, chronic aches and pains, or repetitive head aches. We often have re-occuring issues with our physical bodies that often reflect an energetic issue.
I will explain the basic principles of vocal toning and chanting and we shall do some introductory breathing and vocal toning together to center ourselves . I will then help you set an intention for the work we shall be doing together.
After our session, I will choose a therapeutic mantra for you, based on your current life circumstances and the intention you set. I will then record a video of the recommended daily practice so that you can start your personal practice and healing journey.
I will suggest a certain number of days for the practice that I have suggested. After practicing daily for the set number of days we can exchange about your experience and changes you have discovered in yourself and your life. This process can be repeated a number of times in order to work through different energetic blocks in the body and mind, and help to create a life that is in flow.
